Risk profiling

Risk profiling is a new NHS service that will help your GP spot whether you might need early treatment or care

Your health information will be profiled in a local NHS data warehouse and the results will be seen only by your GP

This information will then be used to offer those patients who may need it, the opportunity to discuss their health and access all available services

If you object to your information being used in this way, or have any other concerns, please contact the Practice Manager: Mrs Pat Foster

Pharmacy Team

We have a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who work alongside our Clinical Team helping to provide safe and effective prescribing

Physiotherapy Clinics

You can book directly in with our advance physiotherapist – they deal with muscular and skeletal problems

Smear Tests

Regular smear tests (cervical cytology) are offered for all women
age 25 – 65 years.  There is a computer recall system in place to remind patients when their smear is due.

Family Planning

All GPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioners are available for general advice, prescription for the pill and emergency contraception. Emergency contraception is available in normal or urgent surgery appointments.

Joint Injections

Dr Fasae & Dr Qazi offer appointments for joint injections. You should make an appointment with a GP to discuss this type of appointment.

Minor Surgery and Cryocautery

Dr Qazi offers appointments for removal of cysts, skin tags and some skin lesions.  Patients are asked to book a routine appointment with a doctor first to discuss this.

Well Person Health Checks

Men and women aged 40 – 74 years old are eligible to have a health check and discuss healthy lifestyle with our nursing team. We hope to see everyone over 75 years old at least annually – this can be in your own home.

Asthma

Asthma – Everyone with asthma is encouraged to attend at least once a year for a review. The aim of this is to help you to control your symptoms and receive up-to-date treatment and advice.

Other Immunisation

The practice and district nurses do most other injections and immunisations by appointment only. See next tab for Travel Vaccination advice.
