The practice nurse offers travel advice and some immunisations. It's recommended you see the practice nurse approximately 2 months before you travel, so that adequate protection can be achieved.

Some vaccinations required for travel abroad are not given in practice and you will be advised to contact a Travel Clinic, see NHS Choices at www.nhs.uk for more information. global air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you should complete a form, available from reception or download a  Travel Vaccination Patient Questionnaire

This will then be passed to the practice nurse to check your requirements, You should then contact us to check if you need an appointment for travel vaccinations.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
