Surgery Hours

You can telephone, call in or go Online (if registered for this service) to book an appointment

Our doors are open and reception is staffed Monday – Friday 8am – 6.30pm. (we close one Wednesday afternoon each month for staff training, see Opening Times for details) & our telephones are open Monday - Friday 8am to 6pm. Our busy times are at 8am each day so you may wish to ring us after 9am for non-urgent matters

At the moment same day appointments are not available to book Online. 

Note –please contact us directly to book smears or HGV medicals either by phone or online (using GP Online - see our home page for details about this) 

To register for online services you will be asked to provide photo identification (eg passport, photo driving licence or similar) & a utility bill or similar with your address, we can then issue a password to enable you to access this service. When enabled you can go online to order your current repeated medication and book and cancel appointments, check vaccination history, see entries by the practice including test results. 

If you need any assistance ask to speak to our Administration team who will be happy to help.

Appointments System

Our Reception Team will ask you the reason for your call and use their Care Navigation training to guide you to the most appropriate service

 

Urgent Appointments – If your problem is urgent we will offer you the first available appointment, which may be a telephone call or we may refer you to GP Care Wakefield, who are based in Wakefield 

Extended Hours at GP Care Wakefield - Trinity Medical Centre 

For those who are unable to attend during our usual opening hours we can arrange -

  • Routine GP Appointments - for non urgent problems - on SATURDAY'S
  • Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant Appointments - injections, dressings, long term condition reviews, smears and more - EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS
